Research into early childhood development has shown that music education not only benefits academic achievement, but also many different areas of child development. While supporting language, motor, intellectual, social-emotional, and overall literacy, music education can strongly contribute to preparing children for school. Even without these wonderful developmental benefits, music is fun and joyful, and is a common language that can be shared across cultures, bringing people and communities together.
The 3-year-old music program at Florence Road Pre School includes elements of movement, dance, creativity, and musical exploration to create a playful, engaging, fun, and developmentally appropriate music learning environment for your children.  Through the use of children’s music, pop music, classical music, yoga, and music from different cultures, we explore different ways to move our bodies, use our voices, and make sounds with instruments.
Additionally, the children will have the opportunity to prepare for a performance. This will be a fun and informal occasion where children perform as a group, and their strengths and capabilities are showcased.
